Baby burrito
Hi everybody! I just wanted to drop a quick line and let everyone know how grateful we've been for all the love and support we've had in the last couple days. All the nurses comment on how our room smells like a floral shop, and we have enough snacks to live on for weeks! Thanks for all the replies to my posts, the emails, and the visits. We feel so loved.
I've taken tons of pictures, but just wanted to post one tonight. She's an angel :) Thanks again.
P.S. If you're wondering about this post's title, it comes from the swaddling technique pictured above.

Look at your little miracle. Is it sinking in yet? It's still crazy every time I think about it-- Lydia had a baby yesterday! How does it feel to be a daddy? All those years you spent wrapping burritos in your spare time... finally paid off. She's the prettiest baby I've seen. You know how some babies are actually not cute when they're born, but you still have to say they are? Kate is truly beautiful. Bravo to the proud parents. Love you guys and I'll see you soon.
Congrats again, you guys! We are so thrilled for you! We'd love to come visit & bring dinner one night. Let us know a night in the next few weeks that works best for you. :o)
Hey Lyd & Mike. What a great little blessing you have been gifted with. I can't wait until we move out there so I can meet your new addition, as well as renew old ties!
One more thing... I was so inspired by your blog while waiting for any details on the delivery on Tuesday that I vowed to begin blogging. I was also quite entertained by the other blogs you have posted on yours. I read most of them while I waited - fantastic. So I now have a blog, and I have Emily to thank for setting it up for me. I wanted to let you and Lyd know. It's natalieandrhett.blogspot.com
Love at first sight! This baby is just an angel - that's all there is to it. I feel so honored to have been there for her grand entry into the world...and thank Grandma Evie for allowing me to fill in a little in her absence. I am loving the chance to be here with little Kate. As anyone knows who has held a baby so new, it's like soaking up a little piece of heaven. She is so sweet...there are not enough superlatives to describe her. And can I just say, this is one lucky little girl - Lydia and Mike are going to be awesome parents. Lots of love from one proud mom and grandma!
What a little punkin! Baby burrito is my favorite kind of burrito by the way. I am free from (most) of my kids this weekend, so you may get a visit from aunt Jenny. Oh, and dinner, too.
Love you guys...all three of you!
I am still searching! I will find that cute stuff I showed you so you can make tons of burrito's in all sorts of colors.
Anywho--Kate is so beautiful. Clayton and I really need to make some time to come visit. It has already been a week since I saw her! Time flies. Let us know if you want dinner or dessert (or anything else for that matter)any night of the week. We are D-O-W-N.
Mike! We want to see more pictures! Do you guys need a dinner this week or next? We would be happy to oblige! Let us know! :o)
